Master in Takemusu Aikido

Moral and technical excellence can only be achieved with long term practise, persistence and rigorous training.

As a reaction to any form of modern de-individualization and mostly against the idea of learning martial arts with ease through video supports, streaming, web, or by means other than a real training,

for the very first time

a selected group of Aikido teachers will have the chance to attend a two-years Master course in Takemusu Aikido, in order to develop specific and advanced skills and aspects of this great martial art, going through the connections, the origins, the practical application and the symbolic meaning of techniques;

this two-years course will be mostly focused on subjects which can’t be regularly taught during a common camp, like “randori”, “keri waza”, “sutemi waza”, the meaning of “Takemusu” (and how it’s meant to be part of any normal keiko), “rei ho” (etiquette), as well as many others. This kind of approach is made possible by the fact that all individuals will remain the same for the whole course.

Customized educational support will be provided, all classes will be filmed. Moreover all participants will have the chance to see the individual corrections made by the instructor, as these ones will be filmed too.

After the final exam participants will be given a mokuroku (roll, papyrus) certifying all the subjects studied along the two years and attesting that participants to this master achieved such specifical skills in Takemusu Aikido.
